What is Agile?

Agile |ˈadʒʌɪl|

adjective

able to move quickly and easily: Ruth was as agile as a monkey.

• able to think and understand quickly: his vague manner concealed an agile mind.

Agile practices and techniques are widely known and used in software development. That’s how I came in contact with it and have been practising it since 2007.

Wikipedia explains it as follows:

“Agile management or agile project management is an iterative and incremental method of managing the design and build activities for engineering, information technology, and new product or service development projects in a highly flexible and interactive manner, for example agile software development. (…) There are also links to lean techniques, Kanban and Six Sigma.”

The flexibility of it makes it very suitable in a fast changing environment, no matter which sector or business you’re in.

It’s so intuitive and practical I’d recommend everybody to use these techniques in your professional career as well as in your daily life.

I’d like to help you practice this methodology, so you’ll be able to respond quickly to the changing business environment around you.
